University of Zambia (UNZA) through the Strengthening Health Professional Workforce Education Programs for Improved Quality Health Care in Zambia (SHEPIZ) in partnership with the United States National Institutes of Health / Fogarty International Center, University of Vanderbilt, United States and Mulungushi University donated 20 desktop computers worth Twenty Thousand United States Dollars to Mulungushi University through the school of medicine.

Speaking at the Handover Ceremony in Livingstone on 4th April 2022, the Vice Chancellor Professor Luke Mumba stated that the computers will enhance e-learning especially in the era of COVID-19 pandemic.

“Teaching and learning even in the medical and Health Sciences can no longer be 100% face to face but more of blended and this will enhance access to electronic materials and can never be over emphasized.

Meanwhile, the SHEPIZ Principal Investigator Professor Fastone Goma said this is one of the many areas in which UNZA is partnering with Mulungushi University. He also thanked Mulungushi University for partnering with the University of Zambia to ensure that the project meets the intended objectives.
